Are you ready to connect your yoga practice with the elements? Are you looking to expand your practice and your teaching beyond studio walls? Attract new students and share the experience of yoga in nature with them? Let the outdoors be your classroom.
Join us in nature to learn how to confidently and safely conduct SUP Yoga classes. Allowing the sun to kiss your skin and the breeze gently touch your face keeps you in the present moment and encourages mindfulness in your practice.
SUP Yoga helps you and your students become more aware of breath, body and balance. Yoga on the boards is relaxing as well as challenging.
Our Stoked Yogi Master will show you techniques to maximize the board to increase balance on the water. You will feel empowered to teach others to stand and balance.
Whether you are an experienced paddler or have never paddled – this training is for you. You will learn paddling techniques from our certified PaddleFit Pro instructor. Basic and advanced techniques are taught from stokes to several kinds of turns.
This 5 day, 40 hour stand up paddle board yoga teacher certification course includes:
40 CEC (Yoga Alliance)
SUP Skills: Paddle technique including stroke and maneuvering, board anatomy and handling, entry and exit techniques, caring for your board.
WPA, PaddleFit & ACA informed curriculum
Stoked Yogi Certification
Instructing a beginner SUP lesson
Weather and water safety: Regulations, local knowledge, rescue techniques and lifesaving skills. USCG approved water safety clinic.
Anchor systems: Individual and group
Adapting and sequencing asana on the water, including a “Stoked Flow” set sequence: options for beginner and advanced students.
Building Your Business: Purchasing and preparing, start up capital, marketing and advertising, web development and software, reaching your audience.
Equipment provided for duration of training: Glide Yoga Board, paddle, anchor, and PFD.
Journaling and goal setting workshop to give focus to your dreams.
5 days, 4 nights accommodations in shared cabins at a private campground.
3 meals per day (vegetarian available) prepared in house.
Unlimited use of Glide Yoga stand up paddle boards during non-training hours.
All instruction is taught by Certified PaddleFit Pro, Stoked Yogi Master, YACEP, Roo Morgan. All 40 CEC for Yoga Alliance are contact hours.
200 hour Yoga Alliance certification (complete or in progress) is required. You must be able to swim to take this course. If you have questions about the level of swimming needed, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. If you do not have your 200 hour certification, you may email us to review your experience for individual approval. Some SUP experience recommended but not required.
