Original Strength is based on the theory that we were made to move and to move well. It goes back to the movement patterns we had as infants and reintroduces those patterns to reset out nervous system and movement. You can click above to learn more about original strength.
Why is a yoga teacher, branching out into something that is not a type of yoga?
Original Strength and Yoga have some things in common that are very important to us. Both base the practice on the breath, both meet you where you are, and neither have you move into pain. Original Strength can help improve the physical aspect of your yoga practice. Original Strength targets the nervous system and neural pathways and is a great complement to yoga, or a stand alone practice
Currently, we are offering private or semi-private sessions, and an Original Strength/Yoga combined session. We start with an Original Strength Screen and Assessment (OSSA) - which includes the assessment and the beginning of a plan for you. The plan will include recommendations of free videos on YouTube from Original Strength. You can also schedule follow up sessions. These sessions can be done at an interval of your choice. They’re great for asking questions, and changing routines to help you move along in your journey. Click here to purchase. After you purchase, Jamie will be in touch to schedule your session. We are currently doing these on zoom or at your home.
