Kathryn 'Roo' Morgan's Bio
Owning a business in the construction field that dealt with safety. I was on call seven days a week with two hour response times. Work overtook my life, it effected me physically, emotionally and with the connections to the people in my life. Throughout years of management and ownership, yoga was my calming rock. Yoga helped me to calm my mind, lessen sleepless nights and physical ailments due to corporate stress. Numerous events took place in a short amount of time, with support of others, I walked away from my company. When I walked away, I knew I wanted to teach the tools that yoga offers to those who cannot just walk away from the corporate life. To provide the tools to breathe and calm the mind and body, even when you are sitting at your desk. In 2013, I founded Eclipse Yoga to pursue that dream.
I completed teacher training in 2010 and began teaching in 2012. The classes are calming and fun, it’s OK to smile and laugh when practicing yoga. As I continued my studies, my classes have changed significantly as I became a Yoga Therapist. Classes are for all - all professions, body types, political views, life choices, etc - no judgement. Come as you are, take what you need. Sharing techniques that you can apply anywhere, anytime that you choose to help lessen suffering is what I try to offer. I also teach physical yoga practices too, from gentle yoga to a power vinyasa.
I studied under Jonny Kest to obtain my yoga certification. Since then, I have studied over 400 additional hours in yoga specialties; focusing on stress, anxiety and mindfulness and Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP). I have continued my studies, completed my 500 hour yoga training in 2022 and became a certified Yoga Therapist in 2024.
I offer fun and relaxed classes. During corporate yoga you’ll learn breathing techniques and poses you can do at your desk; allowing you to have calmness within the corporate chaos.
